Breadcrumbs are a navigational aid that shows users their current location within your website's structure. Enabling them improves the user experience for your visitors. They also enhance how your pages appear in Google search results, which can lead to higher click-through rates from search.
This guide explains how to activate breadcrumbs and then select their display format for your individual tour pages.
Follow these steps to activate breadcrumbs and choose how they are generated on your tour pages.
Log in to your Vacation Labs admin dashboard.
From the main navigation menu, click on Website.
In the Website settings sidebar, select SEO & Advanced Settings.
On the SEO & Advanced Settings page, locate the checkbox labeled Show page breadcrumbs.
Check the box next to Show page breadcrumbs to activate the breadcrumbs feature on your website.
Once the box is checked, the configuration section titled Select how you want to display bread crumbs for Tour pages will appear directly below it. This section contains three options presented as radio buttons.
Select one of the three radio buttons to choose the breadcrumb format that best fits your site's structure. Your options are:
Home > Tours > {{Tour Name}}
Ideal for simple sites. This option places all tours under a primary "Tours" page.
Home > {{Collection name}} > {{Tour Name}}
Ideal for sites organized by collections. This option uses the tour's specific collection (e.g., "Adventure Packages," "City Tours") as the middle level.
Home > Tours > {{Collection name}} > {{Tour Name}}
Ideal for complex sites. This option creates a deeper hierarchy, grouping collections under a main "Tours" section for a more detailed path.
After making your selection, click the Save button at the bottom of the page to apply your new configuration.
