Why set up Google Search Console for your website?
According to Google "Search Console lets you easily monitor and in some cases resolve server errors, site load issues, and security issues like hacking and malware. You can also use it to ensure any site maintenance or adjustments you make happen smoothly with respect to search performance".

Before you start
- If you don’t have a Google Analytics account, you’ll need to create one first.
- Please verify your domain here before you follow the below steps.
- You can easily add the verification code provided by Google Search Console in Website -> Advanced Settings -> Header (if required)
How to set up Google Search Console in Vacation Labs
Please follow the below steps to connect your website to Google Search Console,
- Login into Vacation Labs
- Click on the Website Tab
- Further click on the SEO & Analytics Settings.
- Under Google Search Console click on Grant access and connect
Once you finish with the above steps, you will be redirected to your Google Account Login.
- Select your Google account.
- Click on Allow
You will now be redirected back to Vacation Labs back office if the account is linked successfully.
After successful linking of your Google account, below screens should be visible,
Please Note: Once the domain is verified successfully, within a few hours the verification will be done. In some cases, it makes take more time to verify the domain.
Other methods to connect GSC to your website:
Upload an HTML file to your website
When you click this URL, you will be redirected to GSC verification. Select the URL prefix method, and you will have many options to verify your domain. Here, you add your website URL completely and click on continue.
Select the HTML file verification method and click on the download button, which will download the HTML file.
Now you need to upload the file to the root directory of the website. To do this, log in to your Vacation Labs account and navigate to Website > Advanced Settings > Add files to root directory. Here, you can upload the downloaded file and save the changes.
After that, go back to the Google Search Console page and click on the Verify button to check whether GSC is connected to your website.
Associate a DNS record with Google
You can also connect your website to GSC using the DNS method. To do this, select the Domain Name Provider method, where you can choose the type of record (TXT or CNAME) and the values will be shown below. Copy those values and go to your domain provider's login page. Select the domain and navigate to Manage DNS. Here, you can create TXT or CNAME record with the copied values.
Once the record is added, you can click on the Verify button to check whether GSC is connected to your website.
