How to view/edit bookings

The Bookings section is your central hub for managing all reservations, whether they were made online by a customer or offline by your team. This guide will show you how to access, view, and edit booking details.

Accessing the Bookings List

  1. From the main navigation menu in your Vacation Labs dashboard, select the BOOKINGS tab.

  2. This will open a comprehensive list of all bookings received, sorted with the most recent at the top.

Understanding the Bookings List

Each row in the list represents a single booking and contains key information:

  • Booking ID & Timestamp: A unique reference number and the date/time the booking was created. Use this for accounting and payment reconciliation.

  • Booking Details: Includes the Trip NameDurationStart Date, and a summary of the Payment Status (e.g., Balance payment).

  • Customer Information: Displays the Customer's NameEmail Address, and Phone Number for easy contact.

  • Booking Status: The current state of the booking (e.g., Confirmed, Pending, Incomplete, Cancelled). Monitor this column to identify bookings requiring follow-up action.

Viewing and Editing a Specific Booking

To view the complete details and make changes to any booking, you need to access its dedicated detail page.

  1. Navigate to the main Bookings list page.

  2. Locate the booking you wish to manage from the list.

  3. Click directly on the booking's row in the list. The entire row is clickable and serves as the link to view more details. 

  4. Clicking the booking row will navigate you to the full detail page for that specific reservation.

This detail page contains all pertinent information, including customer details, trip itinerary, cost breakdown, and payment history. From here, you can edit dates, adjust pricing, and update payment information.


On this page, you can:

  • Edit Booking Information: Update trip dates, participant details, or other booking parameters.

  • Adjust Pricing: Modify the cost, apply discounts, or add fees manually.

  • Manage Payments: Update payment records for offline transactions (like cash or bank transfer).

Requesting an Online Payment

For bookings with pending payments, you can send a secure payment link directly to the customer.

  1. On the booking detail page, locate the Payments section.

  2. Look for the option to Request It Online.

  3. Click this option and a dialog box will appear. Specify the amount and Payment Cut-off time you are requesting the customer to pay.

  4. Click on Request Payment. The system will generate a unique, secure payment link and send it to the customer's email address on file.
