Rearrange Form Fields in Booking/Passenger/Inquiry Form

Rearrange Form Fields in Booking/Passenger/Inquiry Form

This guide will walk you through the steps to change the display order of fields in your trip's booking forms. You can manage fields for the main Booking Form, the Passenger Details Form, and the general Inquiry Form from the same location in your Trip editor.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access the Trip Editor

  • Log in to your Vacation Labs admin dashboard.

  • From the left-hand navigation menu, select Products.

  • You will see a list of all your trips. Locate the specific trip you need to edit and click its Edit button to open the trip editor.

2. Navigate to the Extra Booking Fields Menu

  • Within the trip editor, look for the Extra Booking Fields button or tab and click on it. This section controls all custom fields across your forms.

3. Select the Specific Form to Modify

  • The Extra Booking Fields menu contains links to the three form types: Booking FormPassenger Form, and Inquiry Form.

  • Click on the name of the form you wish to edit. For this example, click on Inquiry Form.

4. Reorder the Form Fields

  • After selecting a form, you will see a list of all active fields.

  • Click the Reorder button to enter the reordering mode.

  • In this mode, each field will have a handle (typically represented by six dots or an icon) next to its label.

  • To change a field's position, click and hold the handle next to its label, then drag it to its new desired position in the list. The other fields will automatically rearrange as you drag.

5. Save Your Changes

  • Once you are satisfied with the new order of the fields, click the Update button to confirm the changes for that specific form.

  • Crucial Final Step: You must save the entire trip configuration. Click the Save button located in the top-right corner of the trip editor screen. If you do not complete this final save step, your changes will not be applied.

Key Information to Remember

  • Form Types: The process is identical for reordering fields in the Booking, Passenger, and Inquiry forms. Simply select the appropriate form in Step 3.

  • Visual Confirmation: The interface provides a live preview of the field order as you drag them, allowing you to visualize the final form layout before saving.

  • Global Save: Always remember that changes made within the trip editor are not final until you click the main Save button on the editor page.
